Alella is a small designation of origin situated to the North of Barcelona, between the Mediterranean and Montseny, with an altitude of 1,712 metres.
Our country estate is situated in the municipality of La Roca del Vallés, in a spot known as Bell-Lloc, which in Catalan means “beautiful place”. It is a country estate of 25 hectares, most of which is Mediterranean forest. Given the particular climatology of the area, with frequent torrential rain which can leave 100 litres of rain in 1 hour, we decide to conserve all the existing terraces, even at the expense of raising the price of work by a great deal, but in this way avoiding the erosion and loss of fertile land.
We currently have 2.5 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc and another 2.5 hectares of Pansa Blanca, a typical grape of the region.
